Meet Judy!
It’s always really cool when I can talk to a guest on the show. Getting to network with other really cool women in business is one of the coolest parts of what I do. Judy is an author, business coach, and speaker who stopped by to give us some great ideas on how to improve your business, increase revenue, and decrease burnout.
Judy’s First Business
When you have an inkling, follow it. Judy’s first business was not the usual story. To this day, she isn’t sure what drove her to decide to do it. She wound up pitching the idea of starting a magazine with her boss, a woman she didn’t like as much at first. Judy handled the creative side, while her former boss was a master at the systems of running a business. Thanks to that first job, Judy has been able to pursue opportunities for decades.
We Are Our Work
One of the things I like to tell people is that business is personal. What’s going on in your business affects every part of your life. As Judy puts it “We are our work, all the time.” This is a lesson she got a lot of experience with working with NBA players on their financial needs. NBA players are uniquely aware that we are our work all the time, and want to be sure they are getting the most out of their work.
